Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine
Gert ANTSU is an Estonian diplomat. Since September 2016, he has been serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine. Gert Antsu was born on 20 October 1974 in Pärnu, Estonia. He studied political science at the University of Tartu and continued his studies in Natolin, Poland at the College of Europe. His career started in 1997 at the Government Office, EU Integration Department/EU Secretariat. From 2004 to 2008 he was the Director for European Union Affairs. From 2008, Ambassador Antsu was the Deputy Permanent Representative of Estonia to the EU. In 2012, he became the Estonian Ambassador to Belgium. He has also given lectures on the EU at Tallinn University, Estonian Business School, University of Tartu, and Estonian School of Diplomacy. The Ambassador speaks English, French, Russian, Danish, German, and Polish.
