Chairman , Ukrainian Corporate Governance Academy
Aivaras ABROMAVIČIUS is a Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian Corporate Governance Academy, a Chairman of Supervisory Board of PN Project (Development of PresesNams in Riga), and a Member of the Board of Directors of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs' Union (SUP). He is an investment banker and politician with 20 years of experience in managing large pools of money across Emerging Markets in public, private equity, and real estate. After the Maidan Revolution, Mr. Abromavičius, a Lithuanian national, was asked to serve as the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. Over a one-and-a-half-year period, he built and managed the strongest and most reform-minded team in the entire government. From 2002 to 2014, he co-owned and built East Capital as one of the largest and most reputable asset management companies focusing on Global Emerging Markets with AUM of $4 bn. Mr. Abromavičius holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Concordia University, USA and Concordia International University, Estonia.
