Yalta European Strategy (YES) Announces Contest for Participation in Ukrainian Regional Civil Servants Section During 16th YES Annual Meeting

Yalta European Strategy (YES), in cooperation with the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, announces the contest to participate in the joint project for regional leaders in the framework of the 16th Yalta European Strategy Annual Meeting which will be held in Kyiv on September 12-14, 2019.

The Section participants will have an opportunity to discuss major challenges for Ukraine and the world, as well as the cooperation between Ukraine and Europe together with the world leaders, international and Ukrainian experts, leading politicians from Ukraine and the world, businessmen and civil servants. 

The participants can apply through 14 July, 2019.

Candidates are invited to apply who:

  • are civil servants; civil servants working in oblast, city and district councils; deputy mayors and governors, members of oblast, city and district councils;
  • have significant professional achievements and show leadership qualities;
  • hold an active social position and are able to apply the acquired knowledge in their daily work to benefit the society;
  • are citizens of Ukraine aged below 40 and have a higher education;
  • knowledge of foreign languages is an asset.

Procedure to be followed when applying to participate in the Ukrainian Regional Civil Servants Section during the 16th Yalta European Strategy Annual Meeting:

1. The applications are accepted until 14 July 2019, inclusively. Applications sent after this deadline shall not be taken into consideration.

2. All candidates will receive written confirmations of the application receipt within three working days. If you do not receive a confirmation, please email us at [email protected] or call +38 044 531 3768 (office).

3. Participants will be selected, based on the applications submitted, on July 15-31. The information that you indicate in the application form is confidential and shall not be disclosed. Application forms are consistently and impartially considered by the members of the Selection Committee which consists of competent representatives of the main target groups of the School. The Ukrainian School of Political Studies and the Yalta European Strategy reserve the right to refrain from giving any explanations regarding decisions to be taken by the members of the Committee.

4. All participants shall be informed about results of the application process on August 1-15.
