Christian Freuding, the Director of Planning and Command Staff of the Federal Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, has emphasised Germany’s continued support for Ukraine.

"We are ready to support Ukraine for as long as it takes. Our support is unwavering, we will continue doing so for as long as Ukraine needs it," said the Director of Planning and Command Staff of the German Ministry of Defence at the Annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) "The Future is Being Decided in Ukraine" organised by YES in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

He stressed that the German Parliament already provided funding for long-term military support programmes for Ukraine.

"We are ready to provide long-term support to our allies," Christian Freuding stressed.

The Director of Planning and Command Staff also noted the progress of the Western defence industry in increasing the production of weapons and ammunition to provide Ukraine with the necessary resources.

"I can promise you that we will honour our commitments, we will continue to support Ukraine and we will accelerate our support. Along with sending supplies, we also understand the importance of training the Ukrainian military," Christian Freuding underlined.
