The YES Board met in Kyiv to prepare for the 20th Yalta European Strategy Annual Meeting

The Yalta European Strategy (YES) members of the Board held a series of meetings in Kyiv with leaders from politics, diplomacy, business, civil society and veterans. The purpose of the meetings is to prepare for the 20th YES Annual Meeting, which will take place in September 2024.

This year, YES celebrates its 20th anniversary.  Over the years, YES has made an important contribution to shaping Ukraine's European future and encouraging international support for Ukraine besides  in its fight against Russian aggression.

The YES Board includes Aleksander Kwaśniewski, President of Poland (1995-2005), Chairman of the YES Board; Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006-2014), Prime Minister of Sweden (1991-1994); Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Founder of Rasmussen Global, Secretary General of NATO (2009-2014), Prime Minister of Denmark (2001-2009); Stephane Fouks, Vice President of Havas Group, Executive Co-Chairman of Havas Worldwide; Wolfgang Ischinger, Ambassador (ret.), President, MSC Foundation Council; Senior Fellow, Hertie School of Governance (Berlin); Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia (2016-2021); and Victor Pinchuk, Founder and Member of the Board, YES and Founder of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and EastOne group.

On 10 June in Berlin, on the eve of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, YES will hold a discussion -  “Germany's Ukraine Policy - What Is the Strategy?".
