The YES Board Met in Kyiv in Preparation to the 18th Yalta European Strategy Annual Meeting

On July 14, the Yalta European Strategy (YES) members of the Board held its annual meeting in Kyiv. During the visit they discussed the results of the NATO summit, what Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s full-scale invasion means for Europe, the West and the world and how YES and its upcoming 18th Annual Meeting, planned for September 8-9, 2023, can contribute to the strengthening of international support for Ukraine in defense against Russian aggression.

The Board was represented by  Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia (2016-2021);  Wolfgang Ischinger, Ambassador(ret), President, MSC Foundation Council Senior Fellow, Hertie School of Governance (Berlin); Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006-2014), Prime Minister of Sweden (1991-1994); and Victor Pinchuk, Founder and Member of the Board, YES and Founder of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and EastOne group and Stephane Fouks, Vice President of Havas Group, Executive Co-Chairman of Havas Worldwide.

The YES Board held meetings with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanyshyna, as well as with other leaders from politics, society, diplomatic and business communities, mass media.

The YES Board has also visited the innovative rehabilitation center of the RECOVERY national network, founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk, where Ukrainian wounded soldiers undergo rehabilitation.
