Chairman of the Board of Yalta European Strategy Aleksander Kwasniewski is at the top of the annual ranking of "Top 10 Ukraine lobbyists in the world" published by the Institute of World Policy for the sixth time. Also, the list includes two members of the Board of YES, namely the founder of YES, businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk, who is rated 6th, and President of the European Parliament (2002-2004) Patrick (Pat) Cox who is on the 9th place.
The leading five, as voted by the experts, include Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle (2), Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko (3), Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite (4) and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt (5).
Aleksander Kwasniewski receives the title of the best Ukraine lobbyist for the second time. In previous years the number one position was secured by Bronislaw Komorowski, the Klitschko brothers, Victor Pinchuk and Štefan Füle.
The annual expert rating of the Institute of World Policy “Top 10 Ukraine’s Promoters in the World” is a distinctive score of people who over 2013 have made the greatest effort to prevent Ukraine from disappearing off the international radar. In November 2013 about fifty experts from Ukraine and abroad rated over a hundred public figures and politicians, who were not only conveying information about Ukraine to the world, but also forming its image abroad and contributing to European integration.
The IWP’s rating is primarily aimed at defining benevolent lobbyists - those who are forcing the world to speak about Ukraine on a volunteer basis, not by orders of state agencies or from political forces.
