Chairman of the Board of Yalta European Strategy, President of Poland (1995–2005) Aleksander Kwasniewski announced Kyiv as the venue of the 11th Meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES).

On March 25-26, 2014 Chairman of the Board of Yalta European Strategy, President of Poland (1995–2005) Aleksander Kwasniewski visited Ukraine to discuss country’s development, political crisis recovery and relationship with the EU and neighboring countries. He also announced Kyiv as the venue of the 11th Meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES).

Aleksander Kwasniewski said: “We met with leaders of the government; parliament and political camps to explore how YES can best support Ukraine in these extraordinary times. And to plan our Annual Meeting, which we will hold in September as usual – this year in Kyiv, a city which is the symbol of the hopes and dreams of Ukrainians”.

The ex-President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Yalta European Strategy since May 2010.

In 2013 Chairman of the Board of Yalta European Strategy (YES) Aleksander Kwasniewski received for the second time the title of the best Ukraine lobbyist according to the annual ranking of "Top 10 Ukraine lobbyists in the world" published by the Institute of World Policy. In 2013 the list also included two more members of the Board of YES, namely the founder of YES, businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk, who was rated 6th, and President of the European Parliament (2002-2004) Patrick (Pat) Cox who won the 9th place.
